Stella Oduah is wanted by Anti-corruption protesters to declare her assets

Report has it that Protesters on Wednesday stormed the Lagos Office of the Independent Corrupt Practice and Other Related Offences Commission, requesting that the embattled Minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah, be tried and jailed if found guilty.
The protesters, who stormed the ICPC office around 10.15am, defied confrontation by armed policemen who shot thrice into the air and civil defence officers to gain entrance into the premises of the commission.
Chairman of the Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, Mr. Debo Adediran, who spoke on behalf of the protesters, said that many lives had been lost due to corruption in the aviation sector.
He said, “The purchase of the bulletproof cars is outrageous. It is the ICPC that should deal with anything that has to do with official corruption. Their reaction has been that they have not got a petition to act and that  that is why investigation has not begun. Now we have submitted a petition, we want them to act.
“If Oduah is found guilty after the probe, we want her to go to jail; we want anybody found culpable to be prosecuted diligently, we want anybody found guilty to be adequately punished and until we get that we will not rest.

ASUU protest in Abuja foiled by policemen

So an ASUU protest took place in  Abuja on wednesday and the police were on ground to stop the Academic Staff Union of Universities, University of Abuja chapter from holding an undisturbed rally.
The lecturers wanted to protest against the refusal of the Federal Government to honour the 2009 Agreement reached with the union.
An eyewitness said the lecturers had gathered outside the mini campus of the university as early as 8ambefore security operatives from the Gwagwalada Police Division stormed the place.
Although, the lecturers had planned to move round the town, the police had a hectic time restricting them to the gate of the school.
The eyewitness said, “Thrice, the police shot tear gas to disperse the crowd. Although, the lecturers initially resisted, they retreated when the pressure from the police became intense.”
The UNIABUJA’s ASUU Chairman, Dr. Clement Chup, confirmed the face-off to our correspondent.
He said, “We actually wanted to stage a peaceful protest when the police came and started firing tear gas. They restricted us to the gate of the mini campus. Initially, we resisted because it is our fundamental right to embark on a peaceful protest. We had planned to move by 10am, but they even prevented us from entering the campus.
“They told us that we are not allowed to protest. Meanwhile, they did not give us any reason. It took time before they were able to disperse us. They were firing tear gas indiscriminately.” Why do they have to do this though? Like seriously don't these policemen have children in Federal Universities? I Doubt!

Man who stole about 20 cars escaped from prison

According to Punchng.com,The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a 32-year-old convict, Kingsley Chibuzor, for snatching over 20 cars between 2011 and 2013.
Chibuzor, was said to have escaped few months into his sentence from the Kirikiri Medium Prison in 2011, where he was serving a term for malicious damage.
After his escape, the suspect was said to have specialised in snatching cars in Lagos, Anambra and Ebonyi states but met his waterloo when he was arrested by the operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Lagos.
He was arrested alongside two members of his gang; Ozoemena Enebeli and Prince Nwafor.
He said, “I was arrested and sent to prison for malicious damage. My prison sentence was supposed to be for three years but I spent only some months there. One day, around 4am, I told a prison official to help me get kerosene and he left the door to our prison open.
“I was able to sneak into a particular area of the building and jumped over the fence. The area was dark and nobody saw me. From there, I trekked to Ojo Barracks to visit my mother but when she asked how I left prison, I did not answer her.”

ASUU and Education minister in closed door meeting.

Supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday met with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in Abuja. It could not be ascertained if the meeting, which lasted barely one hour, produced desirable results.
The ASUU President, Dr. Nasir Fagge, and the minister refused to speak with journalists after the meeting.
Fagge did not respond to journalists’ questions on the outcome of the meeting and possible next line of action of the union.
He simply told Punch's correspondent, “I am not in a position to talk.”
At the meeting were the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof. Julius Okojie; the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof. Isaac Adewole; and a few national officers of the union.
Meanwhile, Nigeria has protested to the Republic of Hungary over the arbitrary increase of fees for Nigerian students studying in various universities in that country..Eyaa but why won't they? They probably realised that a lot of Nigerians would want to apply for their schools as a result of the strike and to cut down on the people coming in,they increased the fees.

Masked Raider terrifies Grandmother with meat cleaver before she snatched it and chased him with it.lol

According to Dailymail,a grandmother has described the dramatic moment she fought off two masked robbers armed with a meat cleaver before chasing them out the shop with their own knife.
The men ran into the garage and threatened terrified shop worker Trude Mian, 65, with the six inch blade and another knife.
One of the robbers grabbed Mrs Mian's wrist and held her at knife point as they forced her to hand over £50 from the till, a court heard.
But when they demanded to see the safe, plucky Mrs Mian told them they would have to get past her first before getting their hands on any more money.A grandmother has described the dramatic moment she fought off two masked robbers armed with a meat cleaver before chasing them out the shop with their own knife.

But when they demanded to see the safe, plucky Mrs Mian told them they would have to get past her first before getting their hands on any more money.

Today, a jury at Exeter Crown Court watched CCTV footage of the shocking scenes in November last year before hearing the defiant grandmother's account of her ordeal.

Lee Prouse, 24, and his girlfriend Jordane Morris, 21, have pleaded guilty to the charge of robbery.
Prouse is alleged to have gone inside armed with a knife while Jordane drove the getaway car.
Jamie Latta, 27, has pleaded guilty and identified himself as the attacker wielding a meat cleaver.
At the time all three were homeless, the court heard.
'Just before closing time two men came running into the shop,' Mrs Mian, the wife of garage owner Khaliq, told detectives in an interview played at Exeter Crown Court.
'I thought it was a Halloween joke until I saw the balaclavas and knives and they started shouting at me to hand over the effing money. Below is a picture of Mrs Trude Mian (the 65 year old woman )

'One got behind the counter and stood next to me and I saw the phone and thought I would pick it up and dial 999.
'The chap with the cleaver leaned over and pushed me and I fell backwards against the cigarette cupboard and he started hitting the telephone with the cleaver.
'When he did that I thought ‘this is it’. The other chap came towards me and told me to open the till and I told him he was making me nervous.
'I opened the till and at the same time pressed the panic button and he said to the other chap that I had set off the alarm.'
The robbers then demanded that Mrs Mian show them safe but she refused - telling them they would have to get past her first.
The grandmother added: 'I saw he had left the knife on the counter and picked it up and said "you’d better go". I did hold the knife in a threatening manner and I ran after them.
Mrs Mian then dialled 999. The pair, wearing black balaclavas, burst into Knowle Garage, in Braunton, Devon, on Saturday evening at 10pm on November 10.
One carried the meat cleaver and the other a six inch knife, described by police as a Kitchen Devil chef's knife with an un-serrated edge, which Mrs Mian plucked off the counter.
A police spokesman said the weapon was about 30cm long with a blade of around 16cm.
Amazingly, Mrs Mian went straight back to work on Monday, despite being exhausted from her nightmare ordeal and a lack of sleep.
The prosecution claims all three planned and carried out the attack in which the two men wore balaclavas and hoodies to cover their faces.
They escaped with around £60 and the Crown say Prouse and Morris are linked to the raid by forensic and mobile phone evidence which puts them at the scene at the time.
The trial continues.

SHOULD PRISONERS BE ALLOWED INTERNET ACCESS?

I came across a post on the Huffington post UK today that referred to the title above. It was actually written that 'Report says that prisoners should be given internet access'First of all they're PRISONERS! What got them into prison in the first place? Commiting crimes right? Crimes that range from murder, money laundering to robbery and even the internet fraud and scam cases. Now in reference to the Internet fraudsters and scammers would they still be allowed internet access since they're also prisoners? I DON'T THINK SO.
 Anyway here's hat the Huffington post had to say;
Allowing prisoners access to computers and the internet would help with reintegration into society and reduce reoffending once they are released, according to research.
Secure, controlled use of the web can also transform education, family contact and resettlement in jails, the joint Prison Reform Trust and Prisoners Education Trust report said.
Through the Gateway: How Computers Can Transform Rehabilitation examines the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in prisons and its potential as a tool for rehabilitation.
It is based on a survey of jails sent to all prison governors and directors in England and Wales supported by the National Offender Management Service (NOMS).
Nearly three quarters (74%) of the prison governors and managers who responded to the survey agreed that prisoners should have secure and controlled access to the internet, while 94% agreed ICT skills were necessary for everyday living.
Three quarters (67%) said that prisoners should be able to set up bank accounts while in prison using ICT.
The report said greater and more effective use of ICT in prisons would improve opportunities for education, training, employment, resettlement and strengthen family ties - all factors which have been shown to reduce reoffending on release.
Nearly half (47%) of adults are reconvicted within one year of release. For those serving sentences of less than 12 months and young people aged 18-20 this increases to 58%. In 2011-12, just 27% of prisoners entered employment on release from prison.
The main barriers for prisons using ICT to improve rehabilitation were concerns about security, financial constraints, the lack of a co-ordinated strategy, licensing and insufficient central resources, researchers found.
In the foreword to the report, Nick Hardwick, HM Chief Inspector of Prisons, wrote: "We can't go on with prisons in a pre-internet dark age: inefficient, wasteful and leaving prisoners woefully unprepared for the real world they will face on release.
"I have not met one prison professional who does not think drastic change is needed."
He added: "Of course, there are security issues that need to be managed but the technology itself allows every key stroke to be monitored and access can be risk-assessed.
"Perhaps there are some who will say computers and the internet are luxuries prisoners should do without.
There was probably some grumbling when they first put telephones on the wings too and if we want prisons to rehabilitate those they hold, we have to give them the tools to do so."
Juliet Lyon, director of the Prison Reform Trust, said: "Controlled use of ICT is a sensible way to bring prisons and prisoners into the 21st century.
"Closing the digital divide between people in prison and the community is vital for effective rehabilitation and resettlement." which have been shown to reduce reoffending on release.

"Technology can provide us with many solutions to help rehabilitate people in a safe, secure way and if we do not explore them, then we risk sending more people back into society without the skills or the motivation to live a life free from crime."
A Prison Service spokesman said: "We recognise that by using IT, prisoners can learn skills that will help in their rehabilitation and reduce their risk of reoffending.
"The virtual campus already offers educational material across the prison estate and we continue to look at further ways of helping prisoners learn about IT.
"However, we have to balance the needs of offenders with the need for security and financial constraints."

WOMAN FLOGS HOUSEBOY TO DEATH

According to Punchng.com,A Lagos High Court in Ikeja on Monday sentenced  27 years  old Mrs. Chiamaka Nnajiofor to 10 years imprisonment for flogging her house maid to death.
The court commuted the murder charge preferred against the woman to manslaughter, while it discharged and acquitted her 41-year-old husband, Elochukwu Nnajiofor.
They had both pleaded not guilty to the murder charge preferred against them by the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecution.
Justice Lateefat Okunnu, in her judgment on Monday, ruled that Chiamaka’s sentence would commence from the day she was arraigned along with her husband on September 22, 2011.
The couple was charged with murder for beating their 14-year-old houseboy, Oliver Arakwe, to death on August 17, 2010.
The incident was said to have occurred at the couple’s residence at 81, Femi Tella Street, Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos.
Delivering her judgment, Okunnu held that the prosecution, led by Mr. Femi Adamson, had failed to connect Elochukwu with the alleged crime with the various testimonies and exhibits that were before the court.
Okunnu held, “The evidential burden against the second defendant is very weak. There is nothing to show that he was part of the flogging his wife instigated that day and available evidence indicated that he was not in the apartment when it happened.”
The judge also held that that the prosecution was unable to prove the charge of murder against the two of them.

LET'S TALK!

Hello there.. Well today a friend of mine asked the question; 'What is God's sole purpose for saving us? is it to keep us from hell or to get us into heaven? ' I paused for a while because I've actually never thought about it. Not that i don't know that He said 'Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and every other thing will be added unto you' i do but just when i thought i didn't have an answer to the question, I simply said 'To keep us from hell and get us to heaven'. What do you think?

Female Bodybuilder Candice Armstrong's Steroid Habit Made Her Grow A Penis And Facial Hair!

This story isnt meant to be funny yea but it's all sorts of funny to me. Hian these oyinbos sha..So i read this and decided to blog it. Abeg this one no be female again o! Read below;
This should at least teach some of them a lesson but Candice Armstrong's obsession with steroids led to a quite a disturbing result. After using a steroid called Trenbolone, the 28-year-old former barmaid found that the drug slowly started to turn her into a man, causing her to grow facial hair and a tiny penis.Talking to The People, she said that her hatred of her former body is what drove her to use the drugs. She started her get-fit journey by taking pole dancing lessons, then began working out in the gym and became fixated with making her arms bigger. She bought the steroids online.“I was getting a bit of facial hair, belly hair and my voice got deeper. My periods stopped. But I just blocked out a lot of it. I shaved and tried to cover things up. It was gradual so it wasn’t so much of a shock.”
She added: “I used to get a lot of attention from men. Now very few people find me attractive. I have no sex drive and I’m more insecure than ever.Candice will be featuring in a special documentary fronted by Jodie Marsh, that focuses on steroid abuse.Since her transformation, Candice has spent £1000 on steroids and has often been asked to leave the ladies loos in bars and nightclubs. In addition to making her more insecure, she is also worried that she will never end up meeting anyone, and in any case, the steroids have drastically affected her sex drive.(Hian how will they find her attractive looking like this?).
But I can’t say I miss sex..( OK!)
The most shocking aspect of the story however, is the growth of a tiny penis The Daily Mail reported that Candice said regarding it, "that (it) has gone significantly bigger, yes."
She adds: "About an inch [long] and it's shaped like a little penis. It looks like a little penis, you can roll back the foreskin..."
The 'penis' is most likely her enlarged clitoris and the 'foreskin' is the clitoral hood.
The level of addiction she is under must be extremely high, when you consider that despite these major life-changing developments, she is still continuing to take the pills and is working out three times a day.
There is one bright spot: she has managed to start working as a drag act, which is something she has always wanted to do.

Two Planes collide at the Lagos Intl. Airport

There was a minor accident on Friday at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, involving a Turkish Airline aircraft and a Max Air plane. The Turkish Airline plane wings collided with that of Max Air plane which had brought in Pilgrims from Saudi Arabia.
Saturday PUNCH learnt that the Turkish Airplane had landed safely but was taxiing to stop at the airport’s apron when its wing collided with that of Max Air.
The collision resulted in minor damages to both airplanes and sources said they had been taken away for repairs.
An online newspaper said the Spokesman, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Mr. Fan Ndubuoke, confirmed the incident. He however said damages to the aircraft belonging to both airlines were minor and that both planes had been taken away for repairs.
A similar incident occurred last year in Jos, Plateau State, when an Arik plane wings brushed an Airforce jet parked at the apron when the plane was taxiing to stop. There was also no casualty in the incident but only damages to both planes.
